Hours & Admission

In response to the COVID-19 epidemic, the MESS Hall has implemented several safety measures.

  • Capacity is limited. We may ask your party to wait until other guests depart.
  • We require that visitors ages 6 and up wear masks and ask that younger children wear them, too
  • We have modified our hands-on exhibits and “mess kits” to be better suited for sanitizing and/or switched to single-use materials
  • Staff will be wearing masks, maintaining physical distance from guests, and performing additional sanitizing

While this page is our most current hours, we recommend calling (877-937-6377) to confirm that we are open, as we navigate the ongoing pandemic.

There are also special rates for birthday parties, groups and field trips available. In addition, certain programs are an additional fee.

The Pensacola MESS Hall is committed to making our exhibits, programs, and services accessible to everyone, including those with special needs. We have a designated accessible parking space and a nearby ramp. Unfortunately, the museum main entrance is up steps, but there is a doorbell at the top of the ramp. All bathrooms are unisex and accommodate companions and wheelchairs.

Please let our staff know if there are any ways they can help make your visit as fulfilling as possible.

For families with individuals sensitive to crowds and noise, we recommend visiting on weekday afternoons during the school year. Attendance is usually low, and the museum environment is more calm.
