For Spring Break, March 21-25, the MESS Hall will be open extended hours: Monday – Saturday, 10 AM – 5 PM.
Spring Break Camps
March 21-25 we offer half-day camps from 9 AM – noon. Extended care is available from 8:30-9 AM and from noon-3:30 PM. Participants will investigate a variety of topics and will have time to explore the exhibits and mess kits. Camp is for students in grades 1-6. Fee is $20/$25 member/nonmember for each half day. Extended care is $20/$25 member/nonmember per day. (Extended care is not available on Friday, March 25.
Preregistration is required.
March 6, 1-2:30. Volunteer Auditions. Are you interested in sharing your enthusiasm for science with learners of all ages? Then join us on March 6 for our Volunteer Auditions for high school students. Participants will engage in improv activities while learning more about the operations of the MESS Hall. Please contact us if you are interested in participating.
Budding Scientist Saturday – March 12
Tinker Tots – 9 am – 9:45 am – 3 year old – kindergarten and caregivers. Designed for young learners, this program starts with story time, followed by a hands-on science activity related to the story. $5/$7 members/non-members per child; preregistration required.
Science Discovery Workshop – 1 pm – 2 pm – Grades 1-3. This hands-on program is free with admission and explores a different scientific topic each month. Included with admission; preregistration required.
Choose Your Own Science Adventure – 3 pm – 4:30 pm – Grades 3-5. Each month’s activities follow the participants’ interest as they ask their own questions, build their own creations. The facilitator will have lots of activities for them to consider, or they can come in with their own ideas for exploration. $8/$10 member/nonmember, per session; preregistration required.
