November 19 – Light

For 3 years old – kindergarten and caregivers. Designed for young learners, this program starts with story time, followed by a hands-on science activity related to the story. $5/$7 members/non-members per child; preregistration required.

Science Discovery Workshop – 1 pm – 2:00 pm.

A monthly program where participants in grades 1-3 engage in experiments related to the month’s topic. Programs are held monthly on Saturdays, from 1 PM – 2 PM. Included with admission. Not a drop-off program. Pre-registration is recommended.

Homeschool Workshops
November 8, 10 am – noon – Earth Science
Bring the whole family for an opportunity to learn together about our place in space. Program includes a special presentation and a variety of hands on stations. Activities are geared for elementary and middle school students. $8/$10 member/nonmember per student; chaperones are free.  Preregistration is required; space is limited.

After School and Family Events

Saturday Night Science
Tired of the same old thing on Saturday night? Why not try some science? The whole family will enjoy our Saturday Night Science programs with a variety of hands on stations that are fun and educational. $6.40/$8 member/nonmember per person, including adults. Space is limited; preregistration is required. 6 PM – 8 PM
December 3 – Glow Night

Fossil Workshop
Dig through fossil rich Eocene sediment to discover the start of your own fossil collection. Space is limited; preregistration is required. For the whole family. Included with admission.

Time Travelers Convention
Join us for physics fun, pizza, and fandom at the MESS Hall at the first ever Pensacola MESS Hall Time Traveler’s Convention! Space is limited; preregistration is required. Grades 6+. $12/$15 member/nonmember.

Scout Programs

December 9, 6-7:30 PM – Cub Scout Bears – Super Science Elective
Investigate static, colors, buoyancy and more . Register your den today. $8 per scout. One leader free for every 4 boys.

Foo Foo Fest

The Pensacola MESS Hall is again participating in Foo Foo Fest this November with Science on the Street. This year we will feature a Geological TimeLine along with a variety of interactive stations along Palafox St. In addition, we will be having a Fossil Workshop on November 11 where participants will have the opportunity to search through river sediment for Eocene era marine fossils, including shark teeth, sting ray, sawfish, turtle, fish, and other marine fossils to keep. Program included with admission.

MESS Hall Goes Gourmet

Join us October 6 for a special event combining Science + Food. It’s a fun & unique fine dining experience with Pensacola’s favorite local chefs – you won’t want to miss it! This “Go Gourmet” fundraiser for the MESS Hall will highlight the science behind original menu creations. Get ready for an entertaining science adventure featuring a four course menu, plus appetizers and social hour. Powered by Gulf Power. Individual tickets and full tables are available. Teacher Open House
