Looking for something fun AND educational for your summer day camp? Visit the MESS Hall!
Learners have the opportunity for open-ended exploration of the exhibits and check out mess kits during a 1 1/2 hour experience. We schedule summer field trips weekday mornings. They begin between 9:30-9:45 so the participants can receive an orientation before we open to the public at 10. The group size is between 10-25 students, with one chaperone per 8 students required. Students should all be at least in elementary school. The price is $6 per student. We require a $50 deposit to hold the date, with the remainder due on the day of the trip.
Do you have a camp bigger than 25 students? Have the MESS Hall come to you!
This summer our featured outreach program is How to Measure a Song.
Inch your way along with the MESS Hall performers as they engage campers with an interactive show about the seemingly weighty subject of measurement. Hands on stations turn up the volume, and time will fly by as campers analyze multiple ways of measuring. Show and stations start at $250. Program is suitable for students entering grades 1-6.
