Tinker – Explore – Create Studio: Every day begins with a story to set the stage for creative thinking. Construct something from the pages of a book and test it out in varied situations. This camp includes time exploring the museum floor and mess kits with possible walking field trips. ** Single day sign-up and extended hours available!
Inventor’s Workshop: Do you have what it takes to innovate? Can you evaluate a product and then turn it into something new and improved? Try your hand at the creative world of engineering innovations.
This camp provides engineering challenges, but also leaves room for campers to attain the skills needed for product innovation.
Code Academy: Create your own games and animations while learning computational thinking. Includes programming in Scratch and other programs for advanced students.
MESSlandia:Inspired by the Newberry Award winning book Weslandia, campers will explore creating their own world using every day and natural materials. What are the essentials and how else can science and art enhance their worlds? This camp focuses on creative thinking and general merriment. We’ve partnered with First City Arts for a full day camp. Among other things, participants will make pottery with First City.
Half the day will be spent at the MESS Hall with the other half of the day at First City Arts.

Light It Up! Wire up lighted creations and test conductors and insulators during this week. Investigate the properties of light, from reflection and refraction to the electromagnetic spectrum.
We’ve partnered with First City Arts for a full day camp. Among other things, participants will either observe or participate in glass blowing.
Half the day will be spent at the MESS Hall with the other half of the day at First City Arts.
Rockin’ Out: Investigate the world of geology and earth science. Includes a field trip to St. Michael’s Cemetery to view the weathering of different types of stones.
Discover Architecture: Spend time with local architect Scott Sallis learning the art and design of buildings and public spaces. Construct buildings thinking of light during all the seasons, and look at downtown Pensacola in a different way during the architecture walking tour.
Nature Ramble: Explore the world of living things during this week.
It’s a blast of biology whether on land or in the sea.
Space Explorers: Do you have what it takes to tackle space exploration? Train like an astronaut, study like an astrophysicist, and command your own mission to explore a planet.
Robot, Set, Code: Mix computer coding and robots for a week of delving into what makes a robot go. Both unplugged and plugged activities are planned with either Dash and Dot or Lego Mindstorms.
