Can’t come to the MESS Hall? We can come to you. We offer several different programs during the school year to enhance science education off-site. During the summer, we have a different menu of programs.
Special offer: Thanks to grant funding, we are able to offer our How To Measure A Song science show and stations at a discount for a limited number of schools. Regular pricing is $250 for a show and 1 hour of hands on stations for 2 classes; with the funding, schools pay just $150. Additional classrooms extra. Some restrictions apply. Let us bring the MESS Hall to you. Book the MESS Hall for an assembly style science show in your cafeteria or auditorium. We can enhance the impact by setting up activity stations for classes to visit following the show. Science shows are 30 minutes, followed by 1 hour of hands-on stations. Fee: $250 for up to 2 classes; $75 for each additional hour of hands-on exploration.
Intro to Engineering | Grades 1 – 3 | Take the challenge! This interactive show allows participants to balance forces while building a tall structure and encourages the use of descriptive language in math, engineering, and science.
How to Measure a Song | Grades 3 -5 | Inch your way along with the MESS Hall performers as they engage campers with an interactive show about the seemingly weighty subject of measurement. Hands on stations turn up the volume, and time will fly by as campers analyze multiple ways of measuring. Show and stations start at $250. Program is suitable for students entering grades 1-6.

Kindergarten – grade 2
Tinker Tots | Young learners are natural scientists. Our Tinker Tots program includes story time and hands-on. exploration in small groups (Program time is ~30 – 45 minutes/class). Fee: $125 per classroom ($75 for each additional program once we’re on site).
Moon Bear’s Shadow: In this year’s featured Tinker Tots program, learn about shadows, light, astronomy, and positional math vocabulary. This program focuses on light and shadow and was developed in collaboration with a NASA workshop.
Prek (3 and 4 years old)
Math in Everyday | Educational series of four, 30 minute lessons that seeks to show students & teachers how to find math concepts within story books. After reading a story, students are broken into small groups to do hands on activities exploring science and math questions raised. All activities incorporate math vocabulary and are aligned to Florida educational standards.
The Pensacola MESS Hall expands its reach into the community through our outreach booths. We offer a limited number of free or discounted booths for community events. Please fill out our webform to request a booth for your event. Preplanning is rewarded! We book booths 3-12 months in advance.
