Join the MESS Hall Summer Camp Counselors or the Counselors-in-Training program.
The MESS Hall is seeking high schoolers (entering grades 10-12) and middle schoolers (entering grades 8-9) to help make a difference in our summer camp program. Participants will work with MESS Hall staff to enhance the programs for our camp students. Counselors will even have the opportunity to lead their own activities with the students!
Escambia and Santa Rosa middle school and high school students entering 8th and 12th grades who are
curious about the world around you via the math, engineering, science lens
interested in communicating with younger students and learning through play
Attend day of training on May 25
Assist in one week of camp
Attend end of summer wrap up gathering
Experience working with young learners
Learning new science through teaching
40 service hours upon completion
Choose a camp that interests you and works with your schedule
8:30 am-Arrive, set up camp activities
9:00 am-Camp Begins
12:00 pm-Sign out campers
Lunch, coordinate with camp counselor
1:00 pm-Begin afternoon camp
4:00 pm-Sign out campers
4:30 pm-Leave with camp room clean
Recommendation by non-family member required. Make sure to ask for that in advance!
