Group Visits

Looking for a fun outing for your church group, scout troop, or other band of science fans? Bring your cohort to the MESS Hall! Schedule your group of 10-25 people to receive our special group rate.

Is the date you are interested in not on the form? Contact us to see if it is an option.

Group rate requirements:

Saturday groups should arrive between 10-10:30 AM on the date they reserve. Dates with a PM option are for a 1 – 1:30 PM arrival. Weekday groups can arrive between 1 PM – 5 PM on the date they reserve.
The group rate of $8 per person is applicable for groups with a single payer. If visitors pay separately, they will be charged the $10 per person rate.
Each group should have at least 1 adult for every 5 children. The adults pay the $8 group rate.
Minimum group size is 10, maximum is 25. Contact us about larger groups.

Girl Scout Programs

Earn your badge through hands-on exploration at the MESS Hall. Dates and themes below. Please sign up via the Girl Scouts of Gateway Counsel website. Cost: $13 for scouts, $2 for adults. Need more info? Please refer to the Gateway Guide or email us at

Programs are 6PM – 7:30PM at 116 N Tarragona St.

October 5 | Programming Robots, Robotics Badge 1 | Brownies, Juniors, & Cadettes | Details & registration | Enjoy an interactive Robotics Science Show followed by hands-on robotics activities. You’ll get to try out your own programming skills on your friends using Dash and Dot robots, construct a simple machine, and learn about robot senses. 

October 12 | Space Science Adventurers Badge | Brownies | Details & registration | Begin with an interactive science show about Earth and other planets, moons and stars, followed by hands-on activities. You’ll make a pocket solar system, match moon phases, play hide and seek with the
moon, construct a constellation viewer, and discover your weight on other worlds. 

November 2 | Entertainment Technology Badge | Juniors | Details & registration | In this program, you’ll make your own animation, explore video game effects, and inspect the science of sound.

November 16 | Special Agent Badge | Cadettes | Details & registration | You’ll get started with a special guest who is an actor, improv artist and
mystery writer, and join her for a special workshop with your group to help you create your own mysteries. Then you’ll get to try your hand at sleuthing using forensic tools like fingerprint analysis, doing DNA extraction, and more.
