Our Planet: Past, present, & future presents how we know what we have learned about our home planet and what has changed over time. Explore with us our role in those changes, both in the past and present, and what we will encounter in the future. Learn about the study of geology, atmospheric science, and ecology through this interactive exhibit and how to become a citizen scientist yourself.
Plan Your Visit
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and due to the hands-on format of the MESS Hall experience, we are taking measures to help protect you and our staff :
- Reservations are recommended.
- Capacity is limited. All visitors with reservations will have at least 2 hours for their visit. Walk-up visitors will be given an estimate of time.
- We require that visitors ages 10 and up wear masks and ask that younger children wear them, too
- We have modified our hands-on exhibits and “mess kits” to be better suited for sanitizing and/or switched to single-use materials
- Staff will be wearing masks, maintaining physical distance from guests, and performing additional sanitizing
