Sessions for ages 9 -11 begin June 30, 2020. Sign-up still open. Register today!

This program is for prospective, but not current scouts, aged 9 through 11. Join the MESS Hall and the Girl Scouts of Gateway Council for a STEM Series for prospective girl scouts, Virtual Science Sampler.

Get a taste of what it’s like to be an Inventor, Product Designer, Detective, Roboticist, Entertainment Technologist, Space Scientist, and more with this virtual, live interactive hands-on STEM workshop. Girls will be doing hands-on STEM activities using common household materials. They’ll have a live, interactive workshop once a week with other girls their age and work on projects at home to share out with the group the following week. The series will help girls get a feel for what it’s like to be a girl scout, explore different science and engineering topics and methods, and give them the tools and confidence to perform their own citizen science project.

Girls will have the opportunity to join a Girl Scout troop at the end of the series if they choose to.

Girls will meet virtually weekly, beginning July 7, 2020 from 5 – 6PM via Zoom.
