Celebrate the 49th Anniversary of Earth Day with us.
All hands-on Earth science experiences with connections to science, technology, and society in partnership with NISENet.org. Your family will love learning about the rock we live on and getting familiar with the science of exploring Earth. Suitable for ages 3+.

Admission is an out-of-this-world deal: just $5/person. Members attend for free!

Questioning Corner: Weather

Saturday, April 6, 2019 | 10am – 12pm

What’s up with the weather? Come explore sun, rain, & wind with us.
Questioning Corner engages young learners in age appropriate exploration related to special themes. Activities are geared for learners ages 3-8. Programs are from 10 AM – noon and included with admission.

Admission is $10 for everyone 3+, free for MESS Hall members.


Curiosity Day: On the Move
Saturday, April 13, 2019 | 1pm – 4pm 

Zip, roll, and sail along. Use a variety of forces and techniques which make things “go!”

Each month, we present focused hands-on activities related to a special theme. Come in from 1pm to 4pm to enjoy these activities, curated for learners ages 6+ and included with admission.

Admission is $10 for ages 3+, and free for annual MESS Hall members.

Learn about the moon, planets and stars through hands-on activities at the MESS Hall. Preregistration required – space is limited.


Are you a high school student looking for ways to earn service hours and have fun? We have two volunteer experiences for teens, this summer: Visitor Experience Volunteer and Summer Camp Counselors program (entering grades 10-12) and Counselor-in-Training (entering grades 8-9).
