This spring, join us for programs for everyone!
Budding Scientist Saturdays
Each month we have programs for multiple ages, all on one Saturday.
Upcoming dates: April 29 and May 13
- Tinker Tots – 9 am – 9:45 am – 3 year old – kindergarten and caregivers. Designed for young learners, this program starts with story time, followed by a hands-on science activity related to the story. $5/$7 members/non-members per child pre-registration required.
- Science Discovery Workshop – 1 pm – 2 pm – Grades 1-3. This hands-on program is free with admission and explores a different scientific topic each month. Included with admission, pre-registration recommended.
- Maker Studio – 3 pm – 4:30 pm – Grades 4+. Learn new skills that you can use to make new things. Each month will have a different theme. Free for members, included with General Admission.
Our Maker Open Lab time at the MESS Hall is a time for teen-directed projects and making. We provide tools, a box of parts and help. Our Makers are programming games, building robots, designing board games and cosplay and acquiring the skills they will need for years of Maker projects to come.
Open Lab is from occasional Saturday afternoons from 2:30-4:30 and the first and third Tuesday of each month from 2-4:30 (with some exceptions–make sure to check the registration form for available dates). Parents can drop off or stay.
Extended Hours for spring break, March 21-23, we are open 10am – 5pm.
Spring Break Camps – Sign up for half-day (9 AM – 12 noon) or extended day (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM) science exploration in our “All Things Spring” camp. A series of bouncy, slink, and blooming engineering challenges and natural science. Weeklong or single day, registration is required. Click here to register today!
