Explore the fundamentals of robotics through special mess kits all week. We will have Spring Flamingo on site to examine up close, too. (It is currently non-operational, but can be manipulated manually.)

Cheer on IHMC and other teams as they compete in the DARPA Robotics Challenge. Streamed live from Los Angeles.

June 6 – 1 pm to 3 pm
Check out robots build by local teams for First LEGO robotics contests

Family Workshops (pre-registration recommended)

June 2 – 2 pm: Robotics Unplugged Workshop – ages 8 and up – included with admission
Build your own moving contraption using hydraulics.

June 3 – 9 am: Tinker Tots – ages 3 – kindergarten – $4/$5 member/non-member
Practice computational thinking in this workshop for young learners and their caregivers.

June 4 – 2 pm: Programming Unplugged – ages 8 and up – included with admissions
Write a program for your own personal robot (your partner) to execute. It’s not as easy as it sounds.

June 6 – 2 pm – Mindstorm Workshop – ages 10 and up – $4/$5 member/non-member
Try your hand at programming a LEGO Mindstorm robot. Participants will work with a partner.

(During Family Workshops, children must be accompanied by an adult.)
