National Robotics Week is April 5 – 11, and we have lots of robotics to explore. In addition to special mess kits, three robotics related programs celebrating the importance of robotics and robotics research. The following programs require pre-registration and are an additional fee.

Tech Team begins another 4 week session on April 6. Students in grades 5-8 hone their computer programming skills using Scratch and other languages as well as a variety of interfaces. This program has a club-like atmosphere, so students can arrive whenever is convenient and leave as needed.

Mindstorms

Wednesday, April 8, at 3:30 pm, students in grades 2-4 will investigate Robots Unplugged. Explore the challenges of mechanical design required to build working robots. This class is the first session of Science Sleuths, and students may either attend just this class or the whole four week course on Computers Unplugged.

Saturday, April 11, join us for robotics workshops using Lego Mindstorms. Participants in this family workshop will use logical reasoning to program their robots to accomplish a task.
